The following day of the Food2ChinaExpo, supply-demand matchmaking and industry networking activities progressed in an orderly manner.
On September 11, the 2026 Food2ChinaExo entered its second day of the exhibition period. Following preliminary outreach on the first day, exhibitors and buyers continued to engage in discussions regarding product selection, supply arrangements, and regional production cooperation, while regional product promotions were also actively underway.
AI Applications in Food Industry and Related Inquiries
The exhibits span multiple mainstream product categories, and some buyers engage in brief discussions regarding product features and applicable scenarios. In certain negotiations, the focus of buyers has shifted from taste alone to aspects such as supply chain stability, customs clearance efficiency, and regional distribution policies, while also gaining preliminary insights into supply conditions.
A range of new products, including AI-powered food quality control testing and digital supply chain solutions, were unveiled simultaneously, attracting several buyers to stop and inquire.

Procurement Product Selection and Industry Alignment
The trade activities at the following day's exhibition primarily focused on several key areas: product sourcing and selection, premium beef supply and industry exchange, and emerging trends in the integration of dining and wine services. Exhibitors and buyers actively engaged in matchmaking efforts regarding product selection and cooperation terms, with on-site negotiations proceeding in an orderly manner. Both suppliers and buyers conducted detailed discussions on specific matters, including product characteristics, delivery lead times, and potential modes of cooperation.
Following the Chaoshan beef hot pot tasting session, the Australian aged wagyu cooking tasting session, and the Zhangye beef tasting session held on the 10th during the Meat2China Guangzhou International Beef Festival, additional sessions will be scheduled on the 11th: a Brazilian beef cooking tasting session, a Hulunbuir grassland beef and mutton tasting session, and a Guyuan Liupanshan beef tasting session, aiming to attract buyers to attend the events, sample the products, and engage in on-site exchanges regarding product information.

Concurrently, the Guyuan Liupanshan Beef Promotion Conference and the Hulunbuir Promotion Event were held to showcase Liupanshan beef alongside its agricultural, cultural, and tourism resources, as well as the advantages of the beef and mutton production regions in the Hulunbuir grasslands and their corresponding supply chain solutions, thereby facilitating connections between buyers and suppliers.
In addition to the prominent showcase of imported beef, Guangdong's domestic beef cattle industry also garnered significant attention on the following day. The industry forum titled "Entering the Bay, Expanding Globally: Guangdong Livestock Premium Beef Cattle Industry Exchange Conference" brought together government officials, industry associations, livestock farming enterprises, renowned chefs, and supply chain experts. The discussion topics focused on key industry challenges: how Guangdong's beef cattle sector can leverage RCEP to access overseas markets; the role of Hong Kong supply standards in driving quality upgrades for local products; and practical pathways for implementing digital traceability systems in brand development.
The Food & Wine integration segment opened with an energetic Latin dance performance, swiftly igniting the atmosphere of the venue. The subsequent host forum invited numerous founders of renowned food & wine brands, chefs, and sommeliers to tour the exhibition together. Multiple pairing tastings and business negotiations were conducted simultaneously, emerging as a new highlight that broadened the product selection horizons for buyers.

Professional Competitions & Product Selection Reference
The event lineup features two major international professional competitions, with both competitive standards and industry attention reaching unprecedented levels in the event's history.
At the fourth Asia Youth Baking Competition, young contestants created chocolate art sculptures and dessert collections under the theme "Baking Without Borders, Flavors in Symbiosis: The Flavor Silk Road." Their works incorporated iconic architecture, local specialties, and cultural symbols from countries along the route, utilizing techniques such as chocolate molding, marzipan shaping, and sugar pulling. Several buyers stopped to observe and document the creations, noting that these innovative designs could serve as valuable references for developing limited-edition holiday products for their stores.
The China regional finals of the 6th International City Cup World Bread Competition were held concurrently, featuring ten competition categories including Chapata, sour dough, pizza, and toast, with the finished products displayed on exhibition stands. Some catering procurement buyers visited the venue to learn about the ingredients and preparation techniques of the competing entries, using this information as a reference for product selection. The award ceremonies for both competitions will take place on September 12, the final day of the event.
